How it Works:
All devices come with 24/7 access to a Bedford Care Responder
Bedford Medical Alert’s Dedicated Care Responders are on call 24/7. We address client needs when a medical alert signal is received from a button push, a fall that has been detected, or any number of other monitored life safety events. Even if you are unable to speak, your emergency signal will bring your information up on our Care Responder’s screen, so we can initiate actions to help. Our Care Responders are trained to Bedford’s high standards of care and service. We will ask if you require help over your device’s two-way voice system, and even if you cannot respond, we can get you help. Help can be an Ambulance, as well as non-emergency assistance from friends, family or a neighbour.
Some devices have Fall Detection:*
If, for any reason, you are not able to press your alert button after a fall, or if you are not able to speak, the Bedford Care Responder will contact someone from your emergency contact list and/or Emergency Medical Services. Your 24/7 Care Responder is able to speak with with you, through 2-way Voice communication, before help arrives.
Some devices have a GPS Locator
and Boundary Monitoring:
With a GPS and a cellular connection, these devices are capable of locating you if you need help when you are out and about. A Bedford Care Responder is available to at the press of the button, or the detection of a fall. You can choose to set up the device and service so your family and caregivers can check in on you as well.
